I'm a UX/UI Designer who leads with curiosity and open-mindedness, to innovate and learn by exploring, testing, and doing.

That curiosity started young. I missed my bus once as a girl on my way to school in Japan, with no way to ask for help. I readapted my daily routine to fit my German host family's, and realized that different days can still share the same values. Those moments taught me to stay curious and resourceful instead of uncomfortable when things don't go as planned, and they're part of why I believe in mindful design, design that holds space for a full variety of human needs.

My path into design was an inevitable accident. I earned my Associate in Science after being a mechanically-focused, avid STEM student throughout my life, curious about the logic of systems and how things fit together to accomplish new things. But something was missing. I stumbled into UX and it felt like my curiosity had finally found a home, somewhere I could explore complex problems and put real people's needs first.

I'm now leading end-to-end website redesigns at MRN Web Designs, owning projects from initial UX research through information architecture, interface design, design systems, and developer handoff. I introduced our first component library structure and helped shape how our team incorporates new tools, including AI, mindfully into our process. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor's in Graphic & Experience Design, where I learned that the best design comes from systematic problem-solving and intentional decisions.

I still spend most weekends solving mechanical problems on my 80s coupe, because whether I'm designing software, websites, or working on a car, everything is a system of moving parts built to help people live their lives. Outside of work, I'm usually outside: playing sports, working with my hands, taking photos, or swimming at the lake with friends. I'm always learning, always questioning, always looking to improve the world around me and leave a room better than I found it.
